Do you feel alone? Do you feel like other people don’t understand you, your language, your culture, your values, your obligations? Do you feel bad about yourself? Do you have a hard time seeing a way out of your difficult situation? Are you dealing with trauma or abuse?
Do you feel disconnected from your family, your community? When you try to connect with others or tell your story, do you feel like no one believes you? Do you feel like people tell you to do things against your heart? Do you feel that your devotion to your relationships just brings you bad results, and the people you care about just turn against you?
You are not alone. I believe you. I can understand you, I have been there. Together, I can help you through it. For more than 20 years, I have been working with the Vietnamese community, helping those who struggle as I did.
As a domestic violence survivor, I have been through it. I understand. As a parent struggling to raise bi-cultural children, I have experience. I know the pain, and I want to help. As a person who felt isolated, rejected, and betrayed by those I care about, I want to let you know that you are not alone!
Do you feel like there are conflicts between your native culture/values and the Western society around you? I can help you find harmony. I can help you find pride and empowerment through understanding your Vietnamese culture and how to incorporate it effectively and usefully with Western culture.
I am a mentor who seeks to inspire youth, women, men, and immigrants with Vietnamese roots. Having grown up in Vietnam, I am passionate about applying multi-cultural values to empower healthy individuals, families, and communities.
I am trained and certified in Trauma-Informed Care. I am experienced in applying updated evidence-based practices. I take a strength-based approach and emphasize self-care. I will use my life experiences, my education, my training, and my years of helping others like me to help you.
